Why am I being asked to obtain a credit limit/ my credit is secured even though I have already finished eating at the restaurant?

At AutoReserve, for restaurants that have a cancellation fee, we may check your credit even after you visit the restaurant.
This is because the restaurant may not be able to handle on the same day and may charge a reservation cancellation fee at a later date.
